Where can I buy bred cows?

What does "per cwt" mean?
Per hundredweight, or 100 pounds. A bred cows price of $300 per cwt on a 500 lb animal is $1,500 a head.
What does Medium and Large 1 mean?
It is a USDA feeder cattle grade. Medium and Large describes frame size, and 1 is the heaviest muscling (grades run 1 to 4). Unless a line says otherwise, the bred cows prices on this page are for Medium and Large 1.
Why do bred cows prices differ between barns?
Weight, grade, lot size and the buyers at that sale all move the price. Compare the same weight class across barns, and check the date of each sale.
