Compared to last Wednesday the feeder market was spotty with an average quality offering. Feeder steers 350-650 lbs were unevenly steady bouncing from 4.00 lower to 4.00 higher across the weight classes, while the feeder heifers 400-600 lbs were steady to 5.00 lower with a good supply and spotty demand. Buyers were active today and willing to pay premiums for quality cattle, while discounting heavy conditioned and plainer quality cattle severely and increasing the price spreads in most weight classes. Slaughter cows were 4.00 to 6.00 lower with a moderate supply and slaughter bulls were steady with good demand.
